NOTICE OF EVENT CHANGE
It is with deep sadness and apology that the Dynamite Half Marathon & 5K will not be held this year. Due to new business ventures and many things happening in my family life we have decided to make the Dynamite Half Marathon & 5K a biennial (every other year) event. This will make it so we can continue on with the adventure of the Dynamite Half Marathon & 5K. Those of you who have signed up will receive a refund check and a free entry into the dynamite half, for the next year. Please continue to look on our website dynamitehalf.com for news of when the race will be happening.

Welcome to Dynamite Half Marathon & 5K

Nestled in the rolling hills, Preston, Idaho will host the 1st annual Dynamite Half Marathon, June 30, 2012.  Known for the famous hometown setting of Napoleon Dynamite, runners will be welcomed with small town hospitality and fun.

The course for the 13.1 mile half marathon and 5K will take runners on a rural route east of Preston.  The course is fairly flat with a few hallowed hollows to keep the run alive.    It weaves its way along mostly paved roads and a couple of stretches of graveled terrain.  Runners will pass by several Napoleon Dynamite landmarks as they pound the pavement, adding to the excitement of the journey.

There's something for everyone in the family.  You won't regret being part of this "Party on the Run!"
